Legal aspects of rail travel Fares information

I would like to find out about the most important fares. Where can I find these?

Railway companies and transport alliances must publish timetables and fares on their websites. A summary of the main provisions must also be made available on the website. You can obtain the current Fare Conditions free of charge at the railway companies or transport alliances’ passenger counters.

Generally, it must also be possible to view a summary of the Fare Conditions at stations and on trains.

The legal basis is Article 12 of the Railway Transportation Act, Article 22 of the Railways Act (EisbG) and Article 8 in conjunction with Annex II of Regulation (EU) no. 1371/2007.
