Can I take my bike on buses and trains?

Can I take my bike on VVT buses?

Bikes may be brought on the VVT low-floor buses as long as there is enough space available. If a rear mount rack or a bike trailer is attached to the bus you have to use those. However, the transportation of a bike cannot be guaranteed. It’s the drivers decision!

Are there any costs for bike transport?

Bikes will be transported free of charge on most VVT buses. Exceptions are buses with special tourist offers for bike transportation:

  • Oberes Gericht: 210 (Landeck – Prutz – Tösens – Pfunds - Nauders)
  • Lechtal: 4268 (Reutte - Weißenbach a.L. - Elbigenalp – Steeg - Warth)

Bike transport details: We offer the day-pass BIKE (Tagesticket BIKE) for € 5,00 per person. Available online at www.tickets.vvt.at or on the bus from the driver.

Bikes on trains

VVT offers special discounts for taking bikes with you on the train. You can find all the information about this on the ÖBB website.
