It is mandatory to provide transport by or access to the railway system for people with disabilities.

Notification of assistance
Passengers must give 36 hours' notice (bus) or 48 hours' notice (train) of the assistance required.

If wheelchairs or other mobility equipment are damaged or lost, the company is liable for the replacement value or repair costs.

Bikes on buses and trains
A bike may in principle be transported on buses and trains However, the driver on the bus may exclude bike transport.

Dogs on buses and trains
For the safety of passengers, dogs must be kept on a leash and be muzzled - with the exception of assistance dogs.

Pushchairs on public transport
A maximum width of 61 cm is recommended to transport a pushchair without any complications.

Call and collect taxi service (AST)
The AST is a mixture of a bus and taxi. It travels according to a timetable at certain times when it is ordered.

The P+R ticket is free of charge for public transport customers. P+R facilities are located at central locations.

Carsharing
VVT and the State of Tyrol rely on car sharing as a contribution to overall mobility (public transport, car, bicycle, foot). Car sharing combines individual and public mobility without having to own a car.

Ticket purchase
Tickets are available in our VVT ticket shop, at all ticket machines, in railway stations, in vehicles as well as at the VVT and IVB advance booking offices in the Innsbruck area.

VVT tickets' validity
VVT tickets are valid for all trips on network routes that start and end in the Tyrolean network region.

Transferability of VVT tickets
Individual, day, weekly and monthly tickets are transferable, except if they are purchased in the app and online.

First Class on long-distance trains
VVT tickets are always only valid in the Second Class on trains. An additional payment to upgrade to First Class is only possible in accordance with the railway company's fare conditions.

A region consists of two neighbouring areas connected by a bus or train line.

Accompanying children with a KlimaTicket
Children travel free of charge with their parents' KlimaTicket during school holidays according to the VVT calendar.

Order form for school students & apprentices
The order forms for school students are available from schools and the VVT Customer Centre. Apprentices get the forms from the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce.

Change of residence, school or apprenticeship with Schulticket/Lehrticket
You have to fill in a new application form and have it confirmed by the school/apprenticeship office.

Transitional arrangement for the start of school

Your fare travel companion is available online at tickets.vvt.at or via the VVT Tickets app - available for Android and iOS.

VVT tickets are of course still available from our Customer Centre, at all ticket machines, in railway stations, in vehicles as well as at ticket offices in the Innsbruck area.

Account registration
You can also buy Einzeltickets without registering. Buying tickets is even faster and easier if you create a VVT account. Season tickets such as KlimaTickets and Semestertickets can only be purchased after prior registration.

PDF-Tickets
Yes, PDF tickets are also accepted on notebook, tablet or smartphone displays within Austria. Photo ID with age and, if applicable, a discount card must be presented.

The Online-Ticket is valid for a certain period of time and expires automatically.

Low battery level
The smartphone must be fully functional and the charge level must be sufficient throughout the trip for a valid ticket to be presented.

New mobile phone or lost old mobile phone
The ticket is specific to the device, i.e. it is only valid on the mobile phone on which the VVT Tickets app is installed and only on one device at the same time. The ticket cannot be sent, however it can be transferred to a new device.

Cancellation
Online tickets can be cancelled within one minute if a PDF ticket has not been issued yet.
