Practical issues

    A bike may in principle be transported on buses and trains However, the driver on the bus may exclude bike transport.

    For the safety of passengers, dogs must be kept on a leash and be muzzled - with the exception of assistance dogs.

    The AST is a mixture of a bus and taxi. It travels according to a timetable at certain times when it is ordered.

    The P+R ticket is free of charge for public transport customers. P+R facilities are located at central locations.

    VVT and the State of Tyrol rely on car sharing as a contribution to overall mobility (public transport, car, bicycle, foot). Car sharing combines individual and public mobility without having to own a car.

    Tickets are available in our VVT ticket shop, at all ticket machines, in railway stations, in vehicles as well as at the VVT and IVB advance booking offices in the Innsbruck area.

    VVT tickets are valid for all trips on network routes that start and end in the Tyrolean network region.

    VVT tickets are of course still available from our Customer Centre, at all ticket machines, in railway stations, in vehicles as well as at ticket offices in the Innsbruck area.

    You can also buy Einzeltickets without registering. Buying tickets is even faster and easier if you create a VVT account. Season tickets such as KlimaTickets and Semestertickets can only be purchased after prior registration.

    Once you have paid for your ticket, you will be asked how you would like to receive your ticket. Usually you have two options: as a mobile ticket in your VVT Tickets app or as a PDF ticket to print out.

    Yes, PDF tickets are also accepted on notebook, tablet or smartphone displays within Austria. Photo ID with age and, if applicable, a discount card must be presented.

    You can pay by EPS online bank transfer (Austrian banks), credit card (Visa, Mastercard/Eurocard, American Express, Dinersclub, JCB) or VVT Flexirate.

    The credit balance in the VVT Flexirate must be converted into a ticket before departure.

    The Online-Ticket is valid for a certain period of time and expires automatically.

    The smartphone must be fully functional and the charge level must be sufficient throughout the trip for a valid ticket to be presented.

  • New mobile phone or lost old mobile phone

    The ticket is specific to the device, i.e. it is only valid on the mobile phone on which the VVT Tickets app is installed and only on one device at the same time. The ticket cannot be sent, however it can be transferred to a new device.
